Latosa Escrima-Balance, Pressure, and Focus.

Weapons training is good for flexibility, hand-eye coordination, and self-defense.

Weapons can be traditional and exotic such as swords, staffs, fans, nunchaku and others,

or more practical weapons like knives, sticks, machetes, or household items such as pens,

water bottles. or random items.

Weapons training give a different perspective and awareness of distance than with

empty hands. There is a beauty and grace with sword flow, a surprise and deception to the Tai Chi Fan,

and a decisive violent application to knives, stick and machete.

Since everything is a weapon (including our hands and feet) the principals are shared and

inter-related. There is no need to personalize your weapon unless you are showing in a

tournament or performance. Pick up a sword, a ballpoint pen, or a hammer; the principals

are the same. Weapons are the ultimate level and come with great responsibility!
